Check List for Shows

·        Dog’s papers – ISSR number for win sheet, shots records, identifications (microchip number, etc.)

·        Show choke collar – thin metal choke, silver or gold

·        Show leash – thin, 4 feet long. Can use 2 feet long with big dogs

·        Water – bring water for dog from home or bottled, local water may give dog diarrhea

·        Food – dog’s preferred

·        Treats – for show, if needed

·        Supplements (optional) - Nutri-Cal (for appetite), Nzymes (for stress), etc.

·        Water & food dishes – may want to bring one set for the show, one set for the motel room

·        Spoons – to serve dog food with, if needed

·        Dish washing detergent/sponge – to clean dog’s dishes in motel room

·        Paper towels – to dry items as needed

·        Towels – to dry dog if he/she gets wet

·        Waterless shampoo – to clean dog if necessary

·        Brush – to make dog look its best for the show

·        Spray bottle – to spray dog with before brushing, to cool him on hot days

·        Grooming bag – nail clippers, scissors/shears, and other grooming supplies, in case they’re needed

·        Crate or X-pen – Place for dog to rest during shows. May want one for motel room

·        Crate pad – if dog uses one at home

·        Fans – for hanging from crate/X-pen on hot days

·        Ground cover – for under X-pens for outside shows, to prevent dog from digging in dirt

·        Toys – for dog to entertain self with or for show ring

·        Canopy – for outside shows, to provide shade for dog, owner

·        Chairs – to sit and watch show

·        Cooler – for drinks, water, ice

·        Emergency kit – first aid kit, Imodium, Benadryl, etc

·        Show clothes – comfortable, running shoes, Sunday church dress clothes

·        Maps, show directions

·        Camera – don’t want to forget to take pictures of your winner!
